Throughout the project inspiration was taken from Manchester's musical and cultural history, particularly from the edgy and masculine trends of late 80s and early 90s 'Madchester'. The industrial material choices were informed by both the historical context of the Great Northern Warehouse and the interior style of the Hacienda nightclub, an iconic music venue in Manchester.
